From Research Foundations to HA35 Innovation
Foundation and Early Development
DR.HUl and its HA35 research platform were established around the scientific work of Dr. Mizhou Hui, a foreign scientist invited by the national government, with industrial support from the Hynaut Group.
From the beginning, the team focused on defined low-molecular-weight hyaluronan, recombinant hyaluronidase technology, and the translational development of bioactive HA for health and skincare applications.
Development of the HA35 Technology Platform
Building on patented recombinant human hyaluronidase technology developed by Dr. Mizhou Hui, the team established a controlled enzymatic process for producing defined low-molecular-weight hyaluronan. Recombinant human PH20 is used to cleave high-molecular-weight HA under controlled conditions, enabling scalable preparation of HA fragments centered around approximately 35 kDa and laying the technological foundation for the HA35 platform.
From HA35 Research to Product Applications
As HA35 research progressed, the technology was gradually translated into a broader range of consumer and health-related applications. DR.HUI developed formulations for oral use, skincare, oral and gingival care, nasopharyngeal care, and topical applications, creating a product portfolio built around defined-molecular-weight hyaluronan research. This expansion also supported the development of the DR.HUI brand as a dedicated platform for bioactive hyaluronan products and scientific communication.
Intellectual Property & Research Achievements
To date, the team has established an intellectual property portfolio comprising more than 10 granted patents and patent applications, covering recombinant hyaluronidase technology, defined low-molecular-weight hyaluronan, and related applications. These intellectual property assets support the production, characterization, research, and translational development of HA35 and other bioactive hyaluronan technologies.
Looking Ahead
DR.HUI will continue to advance defined-molecular-weight hyaluronan research, strengthen HA35 manufacturing and clinical translation, and expand international scientific collaboration. Our goal is to develop HA35 into a globally recognized platform for bioactive hyaluronan research and application.
